Wajima-nuri is a traditional urushi lacquerware from Wajima, a town known within Japan for its special Wajima-technique and long history in lacquerware reaching back to the 14th century.
Through an additional process adapted from the latest glassware lacquering technology it became possible to laquer concrete.
